We play an important role in alternative sentencing programs throughout California and the U.S., by assisting persons needing support and counseling when confronting serious legal issues, job continuation concerns and family maintenance matters. We at Cartwright House understand the importance and need for extensive supervision when individuals are court ordered residents. Court ordered individuals must attend 12 step meetings daily, and participate in all house functions, including extensive work with a 12-step sponsor. Residents can be placed on restrictions and participate in programs or community service activities as ordered by the court.

If needed we are able to provide:

  1. Progress reports per any time frame deemed necessary by courts, probation officers, and attorneys.
  2. A clean and sober living environment available for inspection or check-up by court approved officers and members.
  3. Random and monthly drug uranlysis detection tests with immediate results reported to the probation/parole department staff. Urinalysis tests can also be requested by the court system at any time.
  4. An introduction to alternate lifestyles consistent with sobriety, including 12 step dances, conventions, and house planned outings.
  5. Preferred Referral to residential treatment centers if need arise.
  6. Referral to outpatient treatment centers as requested by the guest.
  7. A structured environment which teaches responsibility, yet flexible enough to support working residents.
