Our house in North Hollywood was approved by the San Fernando sober living coalition in early 1998. The sober living coalition is a group that concerns itself with the safety and integrity of sober living homes in the San Fernando Valley and is a larger part of the Sober Living Network. We are proud to be a member of the coalition and are actively involved in it's month to month meetings where we meet other sober living owners and discuss current sober living laws, politics and news. We have participated in the coalition inspection and walk-through and have met all insurance, safety standards and recommendations on day to day care of our dwellers.

Our house has 4 bedrooms, one is completely private, a single. 2 bedrooms have two beds each where you will have a room mate and the biggest bedroom houses 3 beds. Most of our guests stay from 3 months up to a year. We would never kick our guests out for any reason other than "using" and our guests always come back and visit.

The living room and bedrooms are equipped with digital cable tv which is fully paid for by the house via the guest fees. We have a fully working kitchen, stove, broiler, microwave and coffee pot. Guests are always welcome to shop for food as we do not provide food for the guests many of them come to the grocery store with us to shop! Guests are always able to do laundry in their own home as long as it doesn't run passed midnight! There is a house phone for guests to use at their convenience.

Parking is done either on the street in front of the house or there is two parking spaces behind the house as well. Visitors are welcome on an approved basis and should be out of the house by curfew time. Curfew is 11:30pm on weekdays and 2am on weekends. Our guests sign in and out and are expected to attend a weekly house meeting where any day to day living issues can be discussed. The house is staffed usually on a 24 hour basis unless my wife and I are out at the movies, which we occasionally do.

During the summer, we have a set up above ground pool open in the back yard which all guests are welcome and do jump in once in awhile. The backyard is ideal for sunbathing as it is a very private well fenced in area and has been a great place to do some light gardening if one chooses to grow tomatoes or flowers!

Many of our guests have children that are welcome as well. In the summer we have barbecues and parties for children or recovery social parties as well. We think you will like it here as we work very hard to maintain a safe and drug and alcohol free environment where women can continue their spiritual growth and strengthen their ties to the recovery community and lifestyle!
